WELCOME FROM LAURA J. STEINBERG

Professor Laura J. Steinberg

Greetings and welcome to the first issue of Schiller Now! Since our move into 245 Beacon Street, we have been busy developing capacity for interdisciplinary research, teaching, and learning. This inaugural issue features updates, like the hiring of our first two esteemed senior Core faculty members, as well as information on partnerships, new appointments and courses, awards, and upcoming programs that will keep you involved and up-to-date on everything Schiller.

From faculty engagement events and student programming to funding opportunities, there are many ways to become involved with Schiller. With your help, we can further our efforts to address society’s most challenging problems through interdisciplinary scholarship, pedagogy, and practice. As you read through this newsletter, we hope you feel energized about our work and consider how you might deepen your own involvement in the Schiller community.
